Colleen Beall

Colleen Arlene Beall, 96, died May 31, 2023 at the Keokuk County Hospital and Clinics in Sigourney, Iowa.  She was born July 13, 1926 in Omaha, Nebraska to Ivan and Ella (Uhe) Moore.  She graduated from Webster High School. On March 6, 1946, she married Franklin “Buck” Beall in Kirksville, Missouri.  She received her nursing degree from Indian Hills Community College.  Colleen worked as an ICU nurse in Ottumwa Regional Hospital and later at the Keokuk County Hospital until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Colleen loved to cook and bake. She always made it a point to make sure people were fed when they came for a visit.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sigourney, Sigourney Presbyterian Women, and a lifetime member of the Keokuk County Health Center Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Franklin “Buck” Beall on September 17, 2009, and sister Delores Cook.

Those left to mourn her passing are daughter Cindy Den Hartog of Sigourney, two grandchildren Kevin (Wendy) Dyson of Albia, Wendy (Lyall) Stuhr of Ottumwa, five great-grandchildren Brandon, Alex and Megan Stuhr, Katie (Ryan) Iverson and Tyler Dyson, several nieces and nephews including Linda and husband Chuck Kahler of White Heath Illinois, Dottie Morrow of Sigourney, and Victor and wife Kathy Cook of Bartlesville Oklahoma.
