Clarence Peiffer

Clarence Peiffer, 84, died May 14, 2013 at the Manor House in Sigourney, Iowa. Clarence was born November 3, 1928 to August and Anna Striegel Peiffer in rural Sigourney. He graduated from St. Elizabeth High School in Harper. On December 28, 1957 he married Mildred Eileen Reinier at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Clear Creek Township. Clarence lived and farmed on the home place south of Harper all of his life. He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and a Knights of Columbus in Harper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mildred on June 20, 1991, four brothers Donald Peiffer, Art Peiffer, Cornelius Peiffer, Dennis Peiffer and three sisters Lu Scribner, Agnes Jaeger, and Thresa Peiffer.
He is survived by his son Mitchell (Patty) Peiffer of Salisbury, Missouri, daughter Andrea (Brad) Aschenbrenner of Charlotte, North Carolina. Six grandchildren Katie, Abbie, Jake and Anna Peiffer, Alexis and Marshall Ashenbrenner, four sisters Lyola Kaska of Fairfield, Phyllis Salm of Iowa City, Marge Bower of Sigourney, Marion Emmack of Des Moines, one brother Harold Peiffer of Des Moines.

Funeral Service: Saturday May 18, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. St. Mary Catholic Church Sigourney
Burial: Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Clear Creek
Visitation: Friday 4:00 - 7:00 P.M at St. Mary Catholic Church with a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M.
Memorials: Clear Creek Church Foundation or Keokuk County Hospice.
