Charles "Bob" Hanchett

Charles "Bob" Hanchett, 94, of Sigourney, died Saturday, November 27, 2010, at the North English Care Center. He was born May 8, 1916 in North English to Charles Mason and Ada Marshall Hanchett. He graduated from North English High School in 1934. On December 24, 1938, he married Doris Eilleen Caskey. He drove the tank wagon for Uroil, owned Case Produce and Implement, farmed in the North English and Sigourney area, and was a general contractor in Sigourney until his retirement. He was a member of the Sigourney Odd Fellows.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson John Logan Hanchett, and a brother Ivan Hanchett.
He is survived by his wife Doris, four children Gary (Connie) Hanchett of Deep River, Linda Hanchett if Sigourney, Ronald (Teresa) Hanchett of Ames, John (Jill) Hanchett if Sigourney, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, sister Fern Dyson of Sigourney, and a brother Keith Hanchett of Owasso OK.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Sigourney Baptist Church
Burial: North English Cemetery.
Visitation: 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Holm Funeral Home.
