Charles Grimes

Charles Edward Grimes, 68, died January 16, 2013 at his home near Webster, Iowa. He was born July 28, 1944 to Charles Edward and Bessie Burian Grimes in Clarksville, Maryland. In 1962, he graduated from Glenelg High School in In Glenelg, Maryland. On June 20, 1964 he married Barbara Furstenberg in Olney, Maryland. Charles was employed at John Hopkins Applied Physic Lab in Laurel, Maryland. He retired in 2001 and moved to rural Webster. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Sykesville, Maryland and later Webster United Methodist Church in Webster.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Grace Howes and Mary Mattingly.
He is survived by his wife Barb, son Todd (Janice) Grimes of Webster, two grandchildren Adam and Alex Keeney, two great grandchildren Sierra and Luka Keeney, two sisters Isabelle Rebarchick of Leonardtown, Maryland and Rose Valentine of Virginia Beach, Virginia and his two beloved dogs Lizzy and Lucy.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday January 20, 2013 at 1:30 P.M. at the Webster United
Methodist Church in Webster.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Webster Methodist Church.
