Carol Taylor

Carol Verona Taylor, 77, died January 15, 2010 at the Ottumwa Regional Hospital. She was born September 6, 1932 to John Christian George and Pearl Strupp Duensing near Sigourney. She graduated from Sigourney High School. On August 27, 1953 she married Bruce Ivan Taylor at St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church in Sigourney. They lived and farmed north of Delta and owned and operated Taylor Hardware in Delta. She later worked at McCurdy Seed and Pioneer Seed.
She was a former member of the St Paul Evangelical Church, Delta Garden Club. She was a former leader of the Warren Winners 4-H Club, she also was the assistant superintendent of the Flora Department at the Keokuk County Fair, and she attended the Delta Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bruce on November 30, 1985, one sister Alma Sorden, and o brother Loren Duensing.
Those left to mourn her passing are her children Robert Taylor of Delta, Diane and husband Daryl Barnhart of Hayesville, Lois Taylor of Altoona, three grandchildren Heather and husband Zane Snedilgar, Elizabeth Barnhart and Autum Barnhart.

Funeral Service: Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. at the Holm Funeral Home
Burial: Springfield Cemetery near Delta
Visitation: Tuesday after 5:00 P.M.
