Betty Fry

Betty Fry, 87, died May 26, 2018 at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney, Iowa. She was born February 11, 1931 to William “Bert” and Rena Myrtle Christy Flanegin near Bogard, Missouri. The family moved to Iowa in 1946, Betty graduated from Sigourney High School in 1949. She worked in Sigourney and later moved to Cedar Rapids and worked at the Cedar Rapids Courthouse. She moved to Marion and worked as an administrative assistant for the Linn-Mar School District for over 30 years. She moved to Hayesville in 2013. She was a member of the Red Hats.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons Doug and Steve Fry and a brother Jack Flanegin.
She is survived by her son Tim Fry of Hiawatha, four grandchildren Halisha Hackert, Aaron Fry, Adam Fry and Tabitha MaDill, seven great grandchildren, two sisters   Reta Streigle of Sigourney, Doris Bales of Viola, and one brother Wayne “Kelly” Flanegin of Sigourney and many nieces and nephews.
