Alvin T. Miller

Alvin T. Miller was born November 14, 1940 at Iowa City, Iowa to Tobias J. Miller and Ruth Vanora (Yoder) Miller. In his youth he was baptized in the Old Order Amish Church and remained a faithful member until his death. On October 24, 1963 he was united in marriage to Martha (Miller) Miller. On November 7th 1971, he was ordained minister. To this union were born 6 sons and 3 daughters Elson Miller (Loretta) of Kalona, Bertha Miller of Loudenville, OH, Wilbur Miller (Darla) of Kalona, Benedict Miller (Martha) of Kalona, Irene Garrett of Glasgow, KY, Aaron Miller (Martha) of Sigourney, Earl Miller (Susan) of Kalona.

Alvin is also survived by his wife Martha, 43 grandchildren, and 8 brothers Elmer (Clara) of Kalona, Paul (Mary) of Harper, Eldon (Nelda) of Kalona, Simon (Ruby Ann) of Kalona, Jerry (Irene) of Windsor, MO, Henry (Edna) of Kalona, Perry (Edna) of Windsor, MO, Earl (Sylvia Jane) Miller of Windsor, MO.

He was preceded in death by a three year old son Tobias, an infant daughter Miriam, an infant grandson Joseph, a brother Amos, a sister-in-law Carol (Miller) Miller, and his parents.

We as a family want to thank everyone that has been so helpful and supportive in prayer, in visiting, singing, writing letters, and many other expressions and deeds of kindness during the time of his illness and death

We also want to thank the youth for singing, for the food, and the help at the time of his passing.
