Agnes C. Jaeger

Agnes Cecilia Jaeger, 92, died March 7, 2009 at the Marshalltown Veteran's home in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was born February 2, 1917 in Keokuk County to August A. and Anna Mary Striegel Peiffer. As a child she attended Clear Creek school. On October 17, 1969 she married Tobias Jaeger at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sigourney. She helped Toby run his jewelry store in Sigourney, and helped raise his two sons. In 1985 they moved to Prescott Valley, Arizona. After 15 years there, they entered the veteran's home in Iowa. She was active in the Catholic Church, and the Altar and Rosary Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Donald, Dennis, Arthur, Cornelius, and sister Ludgardis Scribner.
She is survived by her husband Toby, two stepsons, Mike Jaeger and his wife Deb of Lamoni, Larry Jaeger of Grimes, two grandchildren, sisters Marian Emmack, and Theresa Peiffer both of Des Moines, Lyola Kaska of Fairfield, Margie Bower of Sigourney, Phyllis Salm of Iowa City, brothers, Harold Peiffer of Des Moines, and Clarence Peiffer of Sigourney.

Funeral Services: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sigourney
Burial - Ss Peter and Paul Cemetery, at Clear Creek
Visitation- after 3:00 p.m. Monday at the Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney where a Prayer service will begin a 5:00 p.m.
