Floyd Seaba, 83, of
North English died Wednesday at his home surrounded by his loving
family. He was born on March 13, 1927 east of Sigourney, to Ralph
and Cleo Beall Seaba. He graduated from Sigourney High School in
1945. He served in the US Army Air Corp in Okinawa during WWII. On
April 20, 1947 at the Bethel Church he married Phyllis Hinnah, the
girl he grew up with from across the field. They farmed near
Sigourney. In 1951 he began his telephone career, working in North
English, then Slater. Later for Modern Coop in South English, and
finally managing North English Coop in 1968. He retired in 1993. He
was a member of the North English Methodist Church, was on the Board
of Directors of RIITA, Past President of Iowa Telephone Pioneers
Asso., member and Past President of Keokuk Co. Izaak Walton.
Funeral service
10:30a.m. Saturday at the North English Methodist Church.
