 Newell Hart

 Newell Kirby Hart, 68, died February 23, 2011 at his home in Urbandale, Iowa. He was born August 15, 1942 to Arl and Maxmarian Knox Hart near Delta, Iowa.  He graduated from Delta High School in 1960 and graduated from A.I.B. in 1962. On June 30, 1962 he married Karen Kay Kerr at the Delta Christian Church in Delta, Iowa. He was employed for over 40 years by I.M.T. retiring in 2008 as Senior Vice President. He enjoyed Iowa Hawkeye Football, Cubs Baseball, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, collecting Farmall tractors, and spending time at his family farm near Delta.
   He was a member of the Covenant Christian Church, Urbandale, Kiwanis, Izaak Walton League, Masonic Acanthus # 632 Lodge Scottish Rite.
   He was preceded in death by his parents.
   He is survived by his wife Karen, son Rod and his wife Jennifer Hart of Madrid, daughter Deanna Hart of Urbandale, four grandchildren Jesse, Luke, Mikayla Hart, and Logan Grant.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday March 1, 2011 at Covenant Christian Church in Urbandale. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church.

Delta, Iowa
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday March 2, 2011 at Delta Christian Church,
Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney.
Burial : Garrett Cemetery near Delta.
Memorials to his church, or Kiwanis Miracle League.
