Dorothy Genevieve Conrad, 83, died January 2, 2009 at
the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney, Iowa. She was born
September 13,1925 in Harper, Iowa to Michael and Margaret Sondag
Redlinger. She graduated from St. Elizabeth Catholic High School and
attended Hamilton Business School in Davenport. She was employed at
Keokuk County State Bank. On January 27, 1948 she married Gale
Joseph Conrad at St. Elizabeth Church in Harper. They lived and
farmed in the Rose Hill area and they retired and moved to Sigourney
in 1988.She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Altar and
Rosary Society, Sigourney Garden Club, a former member of St. Joseph
Catholic Church in What Cheer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Seth Howar,
infant brother Edwin Redlinger, sister Miriam McArtor.
She is survived by her husband Gale J.,their children Janet (Dan)
Brochu of East Longmeadow, MA., Larry (Joyce) Conrad of Walker,
Beverly (John) Dennis of Blakesburg, Karen (Alva) Calvert of Barnes
City, Donna (Raymond) Adams of What Cheer, Mary (John) Molyneux of

(Jeff) Howar of Marengo, Gary Conrad of Rose Hill, Gordon (Gina)
Conrad of Madrid, Bonnie (Pat) Weber of Cascade, 37 grandchildren,
17 great grandchildren, three sisters Winifred Wehr of Sigourney,
Margaret Striegel of Hedrick, Bernadette Redlinger of Harper, two
brothers Francis Redlinger of Marengo, Laverne Redlinger of Pleasant
Plain.
